We have quite a lot of beach this year. However, as you can see in the picture, most of it is covered with beach grass. As we start to use the beach more and more this summer and spread out beach towels, the grass will wither away.

how about having our own sand castle building competition as is happening at the beach in Grand Haven. small trophies or ribbons could be awarded to the winners in different catagories, and judging could be done by someone (or persons)who volunteer.
